Maintenance work in the Caves
Dear visitors!
We inform you that maintenance work will be carried out in the Škocjan Caves from 26 November 2007 through about the middle of December 2007. During this period, the guided tours regime will be slightly different and unfortunately it will not be possible to visit the entire tourist part of the caves.
Visitors will take the elevator to collapse doline (Velika dolina), walk to the natural bridge and past the Tominčeva Cave, which is usually not included in the standard guided tour. They will enter the Škocjan Caves through the natural entrance (the Schmidl Cavern) and visit a part of the Murmuring Cave with the underground river Reka.
The entrance fee will be decreased during this period and will amount to EUR 7.50 for adults and EUR 4.00 for children, pensioners and students.
