BY MOTORWAY:
If you are arriving by motorway from Koper, take the Divača exit. On the regional road turn right,
drive for a kilometre and turn left at the intersection
in the direction of Škocjan. After driving one
kilometre, turn left at the road sign for the village of Matavun towards the Park’s Information
Centre.
If you are coming from Ljubljana, follow the
signs for Koper. Turn off the motorway at the
Divača
exit. On the regional road turn right, drive
for a kilometre and turn left at the intersection
in
the direction of Škocjan. After driving one kilometre,
turn left at the road sign for the village
of Matavun towards the Park’s Information Centre.
BY REGIONAL ROAD:
If you are arriving from the direction of Koper,
you turn right about six kilometres after Kozina,
at the intersection, towards Škocjan. After
driving one kilometre, turn left at the road
sign for the village of Matavun towards the
Park’s Information Centre.
If you are coming from the direction of Ljubljana,
turn left towards Škocjan around 1.5 kilometres
after Divača, at the intersection. After driving
another kilometre, turn left at the road sign for
the village of Matavun towards the Park’s Information
Centre.
By train:
Get off the train at the Divača
railway station. There is a map at the station
showing a footpath to the Škocjan Caves. The
path is around 3 kilometres long and well marked.
It will take you around 35 minutes of walking.

Caves. A mountain trail passes here.
