Visits of the Park

DESCRIPTION
The guided tour begins at the Visitors Centre taking you to the man-made passageway in the Globočak Collapse Doline and continues through the Silent Cave (Tiha jama), a fossil passage filled with numerous dripstone formations. Exiting the Cave, you will be enthralled by the view of the underground canyon of the Reka River that you cross on the Cerkvenik Bridge, suspended nearly fifty meters above the riverbed. Visits of the Park

DESCRIPTION
You can walk the path on your own or with a guide, entering the first part of the cave through the natural entrance carved by the Reka River below the village of Škocjan. Natural light penetrates the shaft through numerous openings, and the path runs just above the water. After visiting the Little Collapse Doline (Mala dolina) and the natural bridge where the Reka River spills through the narrow canyon into a lake in a high waterfall, you can also explore the Big Collapse Doline (Velika dolina) and Tominc Cave (Tominčeva jama), known for its many archaeological finds.
